This just makes me mad.
It may be one of the most common errors in advertising. And now that Canon, with its substantial advertising budget (and, obviously, much smaller proofreading budget), uses it, we may as well give up and update the dictionary. Until then: THE WORD IS “ALONG,” NOT “A-LONG”! There is no such thing as a “sing-a-long,” not even if “a storm’s a-comin’ ” is part of your active vocabulary. It’s called “sing-along” because you’re singing along to the music. Why do we even have to spell that out?
